To further facilitate visa applicants traveling to China, the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Mandalay will exempt all applicants for short-term visas with a permitted stay of up to 180 days from fingerprint collection, effective immediately until December 31, 2026.

Fingerprint collection shall still be required in accordance with relevant regulations for applicants of visas that necessitate the application of residence permits after entry into China, including Type D, J1, Q1, S1, X1 and Z visas.
